A few weeks ago, a Jordanian journalist shared on Facebook a caricature that was interpreted by many as offensive to Islam. Five days ago, the journalist was shot dead in the middle of the day in a public place.
In January 2015, 12 people were murdered at the Charlie Hebdo offices after the satirical weekly newspaper published a caricature mocking the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. On Sunday, another caricature about Islam brought about the assassination of a Christian journalist in Jordan. Nahed Hattar was shot at close range in the middle of the day apparently because he shared a caricature deemed offensive to Islam on his Facebook page.
A few weeks ago, Hattar was arrested after he uploaded the caricature. Many interpreted the caricature as offensive to Islam but Hattar claimed that he shared the caricature because he believed it mocked ISIS. Last week, he was released from police custody. However, it appears that not everyone was convinced that Hattar was only mocking the murderous terrorist organization.
The caricature featured a Muslim man in heaven while he is in bed with two women surrounded by wine and food. The Muslim man is portrayed as asking God for more wine and cashews. Hattar was known as an outspoken critic of Islamic movements and was also considered a prominent supporter of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Three members of the Libyan parliament representing tribes that were brutally attacked by Islamic militia both during and after the coup that ousted Moammar Gadhafi charge Hillary Clinton is the “Butcher of Libya.”
The three lawmakers were speaking from Libya in a video conference call.
“Libyans accuse that Hillary and her group are behind the terrorist groups in Libya,” said Jaballah Al-Shibani of the now-homeless Tawergha tribe.
He was joined on the call by Saleh Fhema of Moammar Gadhafi’s hometown of Sirte and Hassan Zarga, a member of the Hassuni tribe in central Libya.
“Hillary is behind all the terrorist groups controlling Libya,” Shibani said. “Hillary is behind Ansar al-Sharia, behind the militia in Misurata who destroyed a great part of Libya and displaced 2 million people from their lands because they were accused of being loyal to Gadhafi.
He said the Libyans remaining inside are displaced all over the country and not allowed to return to their homes, contrary to international human law.
The lawmakers accused Clinton of international crimes, beginning with the failure of the State Department to intervene when Islamic militia allowed the tribes supporting Gadhafi to be dislodged from their traditional tribal homes.
They expressed horror that Clinton’s State Department allowed the Islamic militia after ousting Gadhafi to engage in genocidal violence that was particularly brutal against the various black African tribes that supported the Libyan dictator.
The Libyan tribal leaders said the Islamic militants engaged in a policy of ethnic cleansing against the tribes supporting Gadhafi.
The jihadists buried their victims in mass graves, raping thousands of women and imprisoning thousands more along with their children, the parliament members said. The imprisoned women were tortured and thousands of young girls were turned into sex slaves, they said.
Shibani said thousands are still held in prisons in Misurata.
He noted Hillary Clinton has traveled to Misurata a number of times to meet with the radical militias.
“Even today, Hillary continues to work with the radical Islamic militia in an effort to control Tripoli and the oil fields, while disregarding the atrocities committed against the people,” Shibani said.
Al-Shibani was asked what Clinton has done for the women and children of Libya.
“She has done nothing to help women and children in Libya,” he responded. “Under Gadhafi women were free to be educated, women were not required to wear any special clothing and women were free to walk the streets.”
Now, he said there are “thousands of families destroyed by the radicals, with the women now living under Shariah law with no education, no good health, no schools, no good food, because of Hillary Clinton’s policies.”
“Thousands are displaced and the militants control a great part of Libya,” he said.
He described the deplorable state of women and children in Libya after the coup.
“Women in Libya are imprisoned by the radicals by the thousands,” Shibani said. “Women have lost their husbands, their sons, their fathers. Some women are in prison for as long as five years,” he said.
“This is inhuman, against our culture. Women in prison are being raped and tortured. Young girls grabbed off the street and forced into sex slavery. When a woman gets out of the prison, she will be cut off from society,” said Shibani.
“We are shocked that those who preach democracy like Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would allow women in Libya to be treated so horribly.”
In light of their traditional Islamic customs, tribal leaders further expressed concern that the women and girls raped and abused in prison will be regarded as permanently defiled by their communities after they are released.
“We don’t understand how Hillary Clinton and the international community can preach democracy while supporting the radicals in Libya who aim to rule Libya by force and violence,” Shibani said. “The only government promoting democracy in Libya is the elected parliament in Tobruk.”
Shibani stressed the parliamentary government in Tobruk, the only one elected by the Libyan people, is the only one of Libya’s three governments that the tribal leaders consider legitimate. The others are considered to be mere extensions of the Obama administration, NATO and the United Nations.
Shibani accused Clinton of being the architect of the deplorable condition in which Libya now finds itself, under the control of competing radical Islamic militia with close ties to al-Qaida and ISIS.
He asserted the motive of “Clinton and her group” was to gain control of Libya’s oil field for the Muslim Brotherhood, using the Islamic militia with ties to al-Qaida and ISIS to wrest control from the Libyan National Army and the Libyan tribes.
“Secretary Clinton orchestrated the plot with NATO that destroyed Libya for personal gain,” he said. “Secretary Clinton refused to support the Libyan National Army that wants to protect the oil fields for the people of Libya. Instead, Clinton and her group support the radicals aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood to control the oil fields and the oil revenue.”
Shibani explained his concern that Clinton supported the weapons embargo that has blocked the flow of arms to the Libyan National Army, while at the same time authorizing Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi to be responsible for arming the radical militia that ousted Gadhafi.
On October 2015, new documentary evidence of a secret State Department gunrunning operation appeared, confirming Clinton was responsible for shipping weapons into Libya with the goal of ousting Gadhafi.
Shibani stated that unless the Libyans are allowed to rid their country of the Islamists, Libya for the foreseeable future will most likely remain a failed state.
“For generations the black tribes of Libya have lived in peace with the other tribes and peoples of this country,” Shibani stressed.
He contended the militia engaging in genocide against the black tribes in Libya are outsiders, imported into the country by Obama, Clinton, NATO and the United Nations to grab for international profit Libya’s abundant oil resources.
Shibani believes greed is behind Hillary Clinton’s decision to join forces with the Muslim Brotherhood and the other Islamic terrorists in ousting Gadhafi, destabilizing Libya and killing Muslims across northern Africa and the Middle East.
A report by Human Rights Investigations, HRI, has characterized the violence done by Islamic militia in Libya to the Tawergha tribe “not just ethnic violence” but according to the legal definition, genocide.
In a report dated Sept. 26, 2011, HRI said it has “grave concerns, not only for dark-skinned people in Libya generally, but also for pro-Gaddafi tribes including the Gaddafa and al-Meshashyas. ”
“We also have particular concern for the Tuareg of southern Libya who are being accused of being ‘mercenaries’ and under attack from NATO and rebel forces. But the greatest concern is perhaps for the Tawergha.”
Reports dating from September 2011 indicate that while the slaughter of the Libyan people by the Islamic militias during and after the U.S.-backed NATO bombing was shocking, the case of the black Libyan tribes was even more so, with the blacks not being shot but chopped up to pieces, with their bodies burned before being thrown into some 128 mass graves found across the country
More than 40 Chinese military aircraft have traversed a strait near Japan, China’s defense ministry said Monday, after Tokyo announced it may patrol with the US in the contested South China Sea region.
China’s Air Force on Sunday sent 40 planes over the Miyako Strait, between Japan’s Miyako and Okinawa Islands, to carry out training in the West Pacific, according to a statement on the defense ministry’s website.
The planes — Sukhoi Su-30 fighters, bombers and refueling aircraft — made the flights without violating Japan’s airspace.
The drill is aimed at “testing far sea combat capabilities”, the statement said, and follows China’s first military flight over the Miyako strait last year.
The move comes after Japanese defense minister Tomomi Inada said earlier this month that Tokyo would increase its engagement in the South China Sea through joint training cruises with the US Navy, exercises with regional navies and capacity-building assistance to coastal nations.
Beijing asserts sovereignty over almost all of the strategically vital waters, dismissing rival claims from its Southeast Asian neighbors.
In recent months, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has criticized China for rejecting a July ruling by an international tribunal that said Beijing’s extensive claims to the waters had no legal basis.
Tokyo, a key US ally, is also boosting defense ties with other countries in the disputed region, with the two Asian powerhouses already at loggerheads over a longstanding territorial row in the East China Sea.
That dispute relates to uninhabited islets controlled by Japan in the East China Sea, known as the Senkakus in Japanese and the Diaoyus in Chinese.
The Chinese defense ministry said in the statement that it had also mobilized an unspecified number of bombers and fighters to patrol in the East China Sea air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
Beijing sparked alarm after it unilaterally established the ADIZ in 2013, demanding all aircraft submit flight plans when traversing the zone, which covers islands disputed with Tokyo and also claimed by Taipei.
“Normalizing far sea drills out in the West Pacific and patrols in the East China Sea ADIZ is based on the need for China’s Air Force to protect national sovereignty and security and ensure peaceful development,” Air Force spokesperson Shen Jinke said in the statement.
The Chinese military has been monitoring and identifying foreign army planes that entered the ADIZ and “took measures according to different air threats” since the zone was set up three years ago, the statement added.
The German government is considering deporting half its Afghan refugees as part of a deal with Kabul.
Nearly 80,000 Afghans have applied for asylum from Germany, which has welcomed more than a million refugees in the past year alone. Now, the government is thinking about returning about 40,000 of them back to Afghanistan, reports the Mirror.
The deportations would not include women and children — the vast majority of refugees are men — but would include those whose asylum applications have already been rejected three times. Some of the “deportations” would include refugees who agree to return willingly, and the government plans to use chartered flights to return the refugees.
Voters delivered a stunning rebuke in a recent election to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who has firmly stood by her policy of embracing more and more refugees. Her party, the Christian Democratic Union, suffered its worst defeat ever at the polls, and fell to third behind a nationalist party with a platform of limiting refugee intake.
Now candidates from a sister party, the Christian Social Union, are vowing not to back Merkel for a fourth term. Although Merkel has acknowledged her refugee policies have been a source of trouble for the country, she is adamant that the lack of support is based on flawed implementation rather than the principal behind the policies.
“There are political issues that one can see coming but don’t really register with people at that certain moment,” Merkel said in a recent interview, blaming failure to act sooner for the unrest regarding the refugees. “In Germany we ignored both the problem for too long and blocked out the need to find a pan-European solution.”g
Fighters of the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) seized a jihadi’s phone after he was killed fighting in the Iraqi town of Al-Shirqat. On it they found a picture of a young woman, believed to be a Yazidi, kneeling on the floor in front of a crowd of men.
Using location tracking data from the phone the militia identified the event as a slave auction in Saudi Arabia.
“Our investigation officer was appalled at the set of images involving what we believe to be an Iraqi Yazidi woman taken as a sex slave,” a spokesperson from the PMU told the Sun Online.
The Yazidis are an Iraqi ethnic group with their own religion, who have been persecuted by the Islamic State who regard them as devil worshippers. Many Yazidi women and girls were kidnapped in 2014 and taken into sex-slavery.
There were “images were of the auction in Saudi Arabia of the woman and sexually explicit materials of the fighter and the woman in a hotel. Location data was observed on the image file as enabled by default on many smart phones,” he added.
“Further images involved ISIS members in Iraqi-areas occupied by ISIS including Mosul and Baiji, which indicates this fighter has been with ISIS for a long period of time as Baiji was liberated by us months ago,” he said.
The unit has announced it will attempt to find and rescue the woman in the photo.
‘”We are engaging with our Yazidi members to find the family of the woman, location and health status,” the spokesman added. “We hope to liberate her and all Iraqi women taken as sexual slaves by ISIS within Iraq or outside of Iraq as their basic human rights are being denied.”
This is not the first time revelations about the brutal sex trade have surfaced. In 2015, a Yazidi woman named Jinan escaped ISIS slavery and wrote a book chronicling her three months in captivity.
She spoke of slave markets taking place in large halls, where the women were displayed like “livestock” for the inspection of male buyers from Iraq and Syria but also Westerners and Saudi and Gulf Arabs.
She reports an owner as saying “a man cannot buy more than three women unless he is from Syria, Turkey or the Gulf.” Another man reportedly responded, “It’s good for business… A Saudi buyer has transport and food costs that a member of the Islamic State does not. He has a higher quota to make his purchases profitable. It is a good deal. the Islamic State increases its profits to support the mujahideen and our foreign brothers are satisfied.”
Jinan also said she was tortured and abused, including being forced to drink mice infested water and chained up outside in the hot sun.
She said: “These men are not human. They only think of death. They take drugs constantly. They seek vengeance against everyone. They say that one day Islamic State will rule over the whole world.”
A terrorist organization in Gaza displayed a rocket it claims can reach every strategic facility in Israel, making it a real threat to Israel.
Approximately two years after Operation Protective Edge ended, the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), one of the terrorist organization in Gaza, is signaling that it is already ready for another round of confrontation against Israel. On Monday, the terrorist organization displayed the newest model of a rocket that was manufactured locally. According to the PRC, the rocket is a real threat to Israel.
The PRC claims that the rocket can reach all of Israel’s strategic facilities. The terrorist organization released pictures of the rocket being manufactured and explained its capabilities during a show that was put on today in Rafah. In addition, the PRC released a video documenting a trial launch. However, the terrorist organization did not mention the rocket’s exact range.
The Israeli security establishment has not yet commented on the terrorist organization’s claim regarding the rocket being a true threat to Israel.
British lawmakers assailed former Prime Minister David Cameron for his “opportunistic policy of regime change” in Libya, which was spearheaded by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The eleven member foreign affairs committee in the House of Commons, including six from the Conservative Party, concluded former Prime Minister David Cameron lacked a plan and left a power vacuum that lead to the rise of ISIS.
Cameron “was ultimately responsible for the failure to develop a coherent Libya strategy,” the report said.
The British strategy was “founded on erroneous assumptions and an incomplete understanding of the evidence,” it continued.
No effort was made by Britain, France or the United States to ascertain the nature of the rebel groups fighting to overthrow Muammar Qaddafi, nor was any attempt made to negotiate with the Libyan government before NATO launched its military intervention.
The intervention, initially under the guise of protecting civilians, “drifted into an opportunist policy of regime change,” the report said.
The decision to overthrow the Qaddafi regime lead to “political and economic collapse, inter-militia and intertribal warfare, humanitarian and migrant crises, widespread human rights violations, the spread of Qaddafi regime weapons across the region and the growth of ISIL in North Africa.”
While the British report rightly placed blame for the destabilization of Libya on NATO’s intervention, it leaves out one vital point: the destabilization and rise of ISIS in Libya was part of a globalist plan to balkanize the Middle East, promote the rise of Saudi Arabian and Gulf State-funded Wahhabism, and flood Europe with a mass of refugees to create a clash of civilizations.
Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State, bragged about being responsible for the death of Qaddafi; in an interview, she gloated “we came, we saw, he died.”
