You could be right, but the people voiced their opposition to McCain-Kennedy and the bill was killed. My point is that we, the people have the power to make the changes. We need to exercise that power. Perhaps we will be ignored, but if we don’t try we will continue to be headed in a direction that I believe is dangerous for our country and our way of life.

I agree with what you say, but the way the system is set up, no candidate, regardless of party is going to make the tough decisions we need them to make.
